How it Works

Whether callers ring the local phone number issued to you by Virtual Headquarters or they ring your existing number (which may be a 1300 / 1800 number), which you have diverted to us, our live receptionists will answer your calls, in your company name with a greeting you choose.

For existing businesses, simply divert your phone number to Virtual Headquarters, even for an hour (e.g. while your receptionist is at lunch, away sick, on leave or for overflow when busy with other calls).



Call Handling

When our receptionists answer each call, if your staff member’s settings indicate he/she is available to receive calls (as opposed to being set to “do not disturb”), she will place the caller on hold, call you wherever you are and ask whether you want to take the call immediately or use one of the message handling options:

  • Take a message and forward it to you by Email and / or SMS
  • Send the call to Voicemail where you can play the recorded message from your inbox
  • Wait on the line and receive the message as soon as the receptionist finishes with the caller
  • Just like a large company, using a directory of numbers, you can choose to have the call transferred to a colleague
